Project Overview
The SuccessFactors Absence Management module is a way for an employee to view their PTO balance and request time-off, usually for vacation or sick leave. The manager can also view the request, scan the team calendar for absences, and approve/deny the request. The employee can also optionally send out notifications, regarding her time-off.
Project Details
The Absence Management Web UI allows employees to make multiple selections when requesting their time off. The visual rendering of each month is contingent upon the total number of days as well as which specific days of the week the start/end dates fall, lending a unique shape to each month - making is easier for a user to scan periods that overlap multiple months. Dragging a range of dates on the calendar allows for quick date selection, and the values are updated in real-time in the form field below.
The Team Absence Calendar section underneath grows vertically with the size of the user's team, and displays pending and approved absence requests that can help inform their own decision.
